Scope and services
Do you do full home interiors?
Yes. Full home interiors are the typical KIVA engagement — living, kitchen, bedrooms, wardrobes, lighting, and styling, planned as one whole. Single-room or single-piece work is also possible as a smaller scope.
Do you work on apartments and villas?
Yes — both. Apartments work inside a tighter envelope and a gated-community handover schedule; villas carry multiple floors, longer sightlines, and indoor/outdoor edges. The service pages walk through each.
Can you work before handover?
Yes. Talking early — before handover, even during developer fit-out — lets us coordinate small civil and electrical changes that are much easier before the keys arrive than after.
Do you handle renovation of a home we already live in?
Yes. Renovation is scoped honestly — what to rework, what to leave alone, and how to phase the work so the family stays in the home. The renovation-refresh service page covers the details.
Design and references
Can I show references from Pinterest or Instagram?
Please do. References — yours and ours — are the fastest way to read your taste. We cluster them into a short set of directions and design specifically for your home from there.
Are the images on the site renders or completed homes?
The gallery is a mix of designed views and finished rooms. We are happy to show you the originals — and arrange a site visit to a live KIVA home — during the first conversation.
When can I see completed projects in person?
We arrange site visits to live or recently-completed projects where the family is happy to host — usually after the first conversation, depending on the project stage and location.
Execution and site
Do you handle execution, or only design?
Both. Most KIVA projects are design and execution under one studio — the same studio that draws the home is the one running the site. Design-only is also an option if you have execution you trust.
Can you work with my contractor?
Yes. Where KIVA’s work sits next to a builder or another contractor, the boundary and the responsibilities are kept clear in writing — what KIVA covers, what the other party covers, and where the handoffs happen.
Will you visit my site?
Yes — site visits are a normal part of the brief. They help us read the home accurately and call out anything a floor plan or photos miss.
Budget and timeline
How is the budget discussed?
Honestly — early. We talk through a rough band in the first conversation and prepare a project-specific estimate after we have scoped the home. KIVA does not publish fixed prices; the pricing guide explains what changes the cost.
Is KIVA more expensive than a modular brand?
KIVA is not a modular brand and does not quote per running foot. Each home is priced for a real scope, not a catalogue line. Some homes land lower than a fully kitted modular spec; some land higher because the design earns the spend.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope, site condition, and how decisions are paced. We don’t quote a timeline before we understand your home — but once scope is agreed, a realistic schedule is part of the plan, not an afterthought.
Getting started
How does consultation work?
Start by filling the short consultation form — apartment or villa name, rough scope, and any references. The studio reviews the brief, comes back with a clear next step, and arranges a first conversation. There is no obligation.
Is the first conversation a sales call?
No. The first conversation is to understand the home and the brief, and to be honest about fit. We do not quote on the call, and you leave with a clear next step — not a hard pitch.
Do I need a floor plan before the first conversation?
Helpful but not required. A floor plan, a recent set of photos, or the apartment/villa name and tower/block is enough to start the conversation usefully.
Working with KIVA
How small a project will you take on?
Custom furniture or a single-room scope can work as standalone. Full-home apartments and villas are the typical engagement. The honest answer is in the first conversation.
You are a small studio — how do I know you can deliver?
We take on fewer homes than a large brand, by design — so each one gets attention. Every project carries a clear scope, updates during the site work, and one team you can reach when something matters.
